Primary Source Analysis: Using the primary sources in The Harvest Gypsies: On the Road to the Grapes of Wrath as inspiration and the course texts for additional support, create an argument through the voice of one of the historical actors involved in the activities surrounding the “harvest gypsies” Steinbeck drew attention to. The argument should be clear, concise, and compelling. You will have many creative options here as far as the way to develop your position through the voice of the character you choose to perform in your paper. In other words, you should choose one of the groups involved in the migration of agricultural workers who came to California during the 1930s. You may choose to develop an argument as any number of characters. While the specific person you choose to represent will ultimately be fictional, the support for the position should be based on the sources from the course texts.
